SPACE FORCE SPELLING

A 3rd grade spelling game your kid will ask to play again

Third graders are past sight words and into tricky patterns: silent letters, double consonants, -tion and -ight, homophones. Space Force Spelling drills those words inside a real game, a family crew flying through space, instead of a worksheet with a timer.

Runs in the browser on phone, tablet, Chromebook or PC. Progress saves on your device; a free account is optional for syncing between devices.

How the 3rd grade level works

Hundreds of grade-3 words

Every word comes with a kid-friendly definition and a space-themed sentence, spoken aloud, so the meaning sticks with the spelling.

Four ways to spell

Fill the missing letters, spell the whole word, or spell from audio only. Correct answers power the ship's attacks in boss fights.

Automatic promotion

Get a streak right and the game quietly starts mixing in 4th grade words. Miss a few and it eases back. Parents can see the working grade per subject in the free Parent View.

Math and science ride along

The same adventure asks 3rd grade math (times tables, place value, fractions) and science (states of matter, habitats, the solar system) between spelling rounds.

What is inside

Questions parents ask

Is this a free 3rd grade spelling game?

Yes. The full game is free with no ads and no sign-up to start. Family Edition ($19.99 once, optional, grown-ups only) adds personalization extras; it never changes the free curriculum.

Can I use my child's school spelling list?

With Family Edition, a parent can paste this week's list and the game practices exactly those words. The free game uses its built-in grade-3 bank.

Does it read the words out loud?

Yes. Every word is spoken aloud, with its sentence, and there is a ๐Ÿ”Š button to repeat it. Audio-only spelling is one of the challenge modes.

What if my child is between grades?

Difficulty adapts automatically: it starts at the chosen grade and steps up or eases back based on answers, so a strong 2nd grader or a catching-up 4th grader both fit.

Family Edition: $19.99 once ยท not a subscription ยท grown-ups only

Family Edition is for parents who want this week's school list in the game. Paste the words, set a family mission, and print a one-page cadet report. It also puts your family's faces on the crew: a photo or a typed description becomes the cadets' helmet portraits and a story still.

The free game never becomes pay-to-win. Teachers: a Classroom edition with rosters and join codes is $79 per 12 months, inside the game.
